Why You Should Be Praying Ferocious Prayers

Watch on

Discussion questions to help you unpack the message with others.
  1. What’s your favorite thing to do on a snow day? What’s your least favorite? (Raise your hand if it’s shoveling snow.)

  2. What stood out to you most from the message?

  3. As we have been praying more as a community, have you experienced connection with God? (It could be anything from a significant moment to a small one.)

  4. When you pray, what does it look like? What are some ways you can keep it fresh?

  5. Ferocious prayers include clarity, humility, and faith. Which one could you use more of, and why? How could you ask God to help you in these areas?

  6. Read 1 Peter 5:8. How can you be on the alert, knowing that Satan wants to slow down your prayer life?

  7. Read Matthew 8:1-3. What stands out to you in this story? What can it mean for you today?

  8. What’s one thing you can do this week to make your prayer(s) more ferocious?

  9. Let’s end our time praying together. You can say something like;

    “Jesus, you are loving and powerful, and you want to give us more of your goodness and healing. Please help us to have clarity, humility, and faith as we ferociously pray to you. In the identity and character of your name, we pray, amen.”

New around here? We'd love to connect

When you hear "ferocious", you might think a wild animal attacking it's prey (or maybe your aunt when she doesn't have her morning coffee). But what if that's actually the way Jesus wants us to pray? You have an enemy that's ferocious. This week, Chuck Mingo shows us why and how we can partner with Jesus to take the fight back to him.

Recorded live at Crossroads Church in Cincinnati, Ohio.
