How to Share the Good News | Why You Can't Do It Alone
What’s the best party you’ve ever been to OR the best party you’ve ever thrown? What made it so great?
What stood out to you most from the message?
Describe a time in your life you invited someone to “come and see” something that you were excited to share with them.
What was the “come and see” moment in your life that brought you to wherever you are in your spiritual journey today?
What questions or doubts do you have about the Holy Spirit’s role in your life?
Read 2 Corinthians 3:17 and 2 Timothy 1:17.
How have you experienced the Holy Spirit as a source of freedom, power, love, and self-control in your life? If you’re unsure, share where you would like to experience the Holy Spirit in your life.
As you share your experiences from question 6, you’re also sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. Who in your life might need to hear part of your story so they can encounter the good news?
Last week we asked, What’s one step you can take this week to talk to someone in your circle about Jesus? How did it go? If you’re seeing the question for the first time, then share what you’re going to do.
Let’s end our time praying together. You can say something like;
“Jesus, thank you for sending your spirit to be with us and give us power to share your good news. Help us to be more aware of opportunities to invite others to “come and see” and build our trust on the Holy Spirit’s guidance. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.”
Ok, we know we’re supposed to share the Good News of Jesus. But, uh…how? The even better news is that you don’t have to do it alone. There’s a Helper.
This week, Brian Tome breaks down why the Holy Spirit’s job isn’t just to give you a nice spiritual experience, but to empower you to share the story of Jesus with your friends and neighbors.
