Go Tell It | How Sharing Your Story Can Slay Dragons

The world’s got dragons—fear, shame, lies we’ve believed for too long. But you’ve got a weapon they can’t touch: your story.

That means the truth about what you’ve lived through—yes, even the messy parts—can take down darkness and bring real freedom. This week, Chuck Mingo shows us your story more powerful than any old piece of metal you could buy at a Renaissance Fair.

Recorded live at Crossroads Church in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Welcome to the Weekend-Follow Up! This is content that reflects on the Weekend message and how it can apply to your life. Each week, your group will discover what God might be saying to you, and how you can respond through a group discussion.

  1. What are you looking forward to this fall season? Is there something you’re not looking forward to?

  2. What stood out to you most from the message?

  3. How have you seen God move this past week, in your life or someone else’s?

  4. What does “revival” mean to you? Where could you use it in your life right now?

  5. Do you feel like you have a story to tell? Why or why not?

  6. Here’s a simple framework to help put your story together:

    Before Jesus → Meeting Jesus → Life Now.

    What part of this framework is easy for you, and what part might be difficult?

  7. Read Revelation 12:11.

    Have you ever considered that your testimony helps defeat Satan? Why or why not?

  8. What is one step you can take this week to share your story with someone?

  9. Let’s end our time praying together. You can say something like;

    “Jesus, thank you for loving us and rescuing us. And thank you for partnering with us in the victory. Give us time and space to form our story, and give us courage to share it with someone. In your name we pray, amen.”
