Lena, the Community Pastor at East Side, prayed God would deliver a message anyway and right as she said "amen" to her relief Kyle walked onstage to deliver an off-the-cuff message on prayer. Why Aren’t My Prayers Being Answered?

Can a Christian get tattoos? What about smoke? Drink? These are all important questions, but it doesn’t matter nearly as much as the deeper question: does it matter what we do with our body? Aren’t we all just meat bags that need to be filled with Taco Bell sometimes until we go to heaven? (Ok, maybe we shouldn’t put the terms “meat bags” and “Taco Bell” in the same sentence). Brian Tome dives into what we do with our body—and why it might matter way more than we think.

Should I do yoga? Play poker? Listen to Cardi B? We all ask questions that the Bible doesn’t seem to actually have an answer for (although if there’s a prophecy about Cardi B that we missed, please let us know). People in Jesus’ time wrestled with similar questions, but when they asked Jesus, He asked them questions that forced them to go deeper. We want a black and white answer, but the truth is God often shows up to meet us in the gray area. So how do we navigate that? Alli Patterson gives us a framework on how to do just that.
